Dear Ms Chapman

We are the owners of Caerfelin Caravan park which is a family run Park  in Aberporth, Ceredigion.  We have run our park for over 16 years and enjoyed running our Park with great pride and enthusiasm.

On our Park we have  100 privately owned static caravans and 5 touring pitches. Our home is situated over looking our Park.

Our Park is open Mid March to the 31st October every year. When our Park closes the water and electricity supply to each caravans is turned off , we do not allow anyone on our park during the closed season unless the caravan owners phone us  first, for permission to come onto our park  during the day to check their caravans are ok  during the winter period. Customers are made aware of our Park rules before they purchase a holiday home .

The new bill's primary objective is to address unlawful occupation of Caravan's. However , there is no authoritative research as to the extent of residential misuse of holiday Parks across Wales. The only research study of the issue was conducted by Sheffield Hallam University relating to East Lindsey local authority area in Lincolnshire, which is unique and so its findings cannot be extrapolated to the whole of Wales.

Please find attached the BH&HPA's evidence that underlines the burden of the new regulation and unknown costs created, the combination of all the measures contained in the 45 page Bill is likely to disadvantage the industry in Wales.

 Yours Sincerely

 Glyn & Sheila Bright
